A modular system where SwedenBIO can easily administer its website with all its functions

SwedenBIO is the non-profit national industry organization for life science in Sweden. The organization has almost 300 member companies that develop biotechnology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and medical technology or are experts in, among other things, business development, IP and law. SwedenBIO also brings together financiers, incubators, science parks, regional investment promotion actors and many more. What their members have in common is that they are instrumental in the development of medical innovations that improve human health in Sweden and the world, whether they are individual entrepreneurs or large global life science companies.

CASE

SwedenBIO had a need to develop its website and make it more attractive to both members and visitors in Sweden and abroad. The development of the website was not to interfere with the long work the organization had put into optimizing its page for search engines. Publishing tools for news in the industry and current events also needed to work sleeplessly. The tools required that we made a flexible solution for internal publications but also external ones that, for example, could be accessed via RSS feeds and partners.

SOLUTION

We developed a modular system where SwedenBIO easily can administer its website with all its functions. Members and writers externally and internally can easily log in and manage their affairs and publications. The website contains, for example, a bulletin board where only logged-in members can add and comment. For member management, we built a system that allows SwedenBIO to easily handle applications and approval of the membership that comes in via the website. The website was developed in consultation with our partner FWD Reklambyrå who specialize in Life science communications.

THE RESULT

SwedenBIO had a need to complete the new website for the SwedenBIO Award. It is an important annual event where member companies that have excelled in particular and contributed to positive attention for the industry are rewarded. Thanks to a good dialogue and disciplined work and dedication in our team, the deadline was met.
